I wanted a lucite tray for a bathroom counter, but I worried about investing in a more expensive tray, like the Boom Simple Tray, Clear, which would get scratched or toothpaste-spattered. This serving tray is a nice alternative. It's as sturdy as a cafeteria-style tray, making it easy to lift and transport when loaded with items. Its base is textured, so I don't worry about scratching it. Although the sides of the tray aren't as high and straight as those on the finer tray, this tray conveys a modern lucite look without the worry.

We very seldom eat at the dinner table; ususally it's when we're parked in front of the boob tube. So, these trays are VERY functional; but they are very heavy, not the material used in those lightweight cafeteria trays! I'd say they were as heavy as glass! But they are excellent quality, look really good, and are an excellent bargain!
